systems & processes
I’ve created hundreds of processes for dozens of people, including within my own home and daily routine. They aren’t all written down, of course, but they’ve been nurtured and carefully adjusted over many years.
Below you’ll see a handful of examples of operational, HR, and administrative processes created for new teams. They needed to be simple and clearly defined instructions because when we started, all of this information lived in people’s heads. Even though it felt a bit silly at times, the first step was to siphon all of those details out and put them somewhere that everyone could easily access.
One critical component of growing a business beyond the entrepreneurial stage is the ability to pass functions onto employees. This process requires clear, practiced and repeatable systems. These systems might include detailed instructions, resource information, account access details and who to go to with questions or difficulties.
As someone who is efficiency-minded and focused on the wellbeing of the team, I love systems. They put everyone on even footing and provide the highest likelihood of success in any task.
